Yijing’s interested in enhancing our understanding of online and offline political engagement, through developing and critically reflecting on computational models that capture the structures of online political communication and public belief systems.

Yijing is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Network and Data Science at Central European University. Her research focuses on political communication, social media and social networks. With a background in Information Science and Network Science, she is interested in enhancing our understanding of online and offline political engagement, through developing and critically reflecting on computational models that capture the structures of online political communication and public belief systems. Her dissertation investigates the role of social media in political polarization using both digital footprints and survey data.
