In this video, Annenberg School for Communication doctoral candidate Roopa Vasudevan talks about her work on the ways that the everyday technologies that we often take for granted shape our daily lives. Both a scholar and an artist, Vasudevan discusses how she navigates the tension that arises from having a foot in both worlds. With her art inspired by technology, she thinks about how the rules set down by the tech companies inform what she is able and not able to do, and talks about her recent art exhibition, “Machine Readable.”
