The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania has announced that Annenberg School doctoral candidates Lucila Rozas Urrunaga, Farrah Rahaman, and Azsaneé Truss are among the awardees of its 2025 Student Grants.

These grants support students' creative pursuits and promote broader access to the arts, while empowering students to create ambitious projects, from performances and exhibitions to collaborative events.

Lucila Rozas Urrunaga

Farrah Rahaman

“Palimpsest” — a short speculative film recounting the moment on the brink of deportation, in which visionary cultural organizer and writer Claudia Jones sets fire to her entire personal archive.

Azsaneé Truss

The Sachs Program will have a celebration on Monday, April 28 for all Sachs Program 2025 Grant Awards at the Arts Lounge at the Annenberg Center.
