Meet Christopher Ali (Ph.D. '13)

Christopher Ali is the Pioneers Chair in Telecommunications and professor of telecommunications in the Bellisario College at Penn State.

In this video, Ali discussed why tens of millions of rural Americans don’t have affordable, high-speed internet connectivity, and how his figure skating background prepared him for the classroom.

“One thing that figure skating taught me is if you fall in front of 20,000 people and you learn to get up, you can stand in front of 300 students and teach,” Ali said.
